Verdure shawlette

Verdure shawlette

Since the last episode of the podcast, I made a great progress on my Verdure shawlette because it is… done! It is now in the bathroom for the blocking process. It may take one or two days, so I can tell you that I should be able to show you the shawl on the next episode of the podcast (next weekend if everything goes well).

Meanwhile, let me show you the photos of the different steps. I have to say it is a beautiful shawl and I enjoyed knitting it a lot but it took hours and hours to knit the lace border. It was the first time I knitted a shawl with that kind of construction and I didn’t imagine it would take so long to knit the border (I will wait a little to knit another shawl with the same border construction).

Début de la bordure/Beginning of the lace border

1/3 de la bordure faite / 1/3 of the border done

  1. Thank you for taking the time to record the English version of your video podcast. I really enjoyed it and hope there will be more.
No need to apologise for your English. You are charming and did a great job.
Lovely projects. The shawl is absolutely beautiful.

    1. Thank you so much for your sweet comment, Margaret. I really want to record more videos in English so I do hope it will not be the only one 😉 Thanks again!

  2. Thank you so much for the recording in English! My daughter’s off to Montreal for university so I thought I’d try and get my French going a bit again (it’s been a long while . . .) by watching in both French and English. Plus I get to knit while watching, and see your lovely projects–it’s a win all round 🙂

    1. You are welcome, Michelle. I’m so happy some people find interest in both versions 😀 As I have several friends who don’t speak/understand french, I was sad that they couldn’t watch the videos because of the language. But you know, recording in English is a real challenge for me! I wish my English was better and that I could share everything with you without a lack of vocabulary.
